Budweiser Black Crown was born from a collaborative process with Budweiser's 12 brewmasters, who were challenged to create 12 unique beer recipes inspired by Budweiser’s heritage (Project 12). This summer six of the beers were sampled across America by more than 25,000 consumers. “Batch 91406” from Los Angeles proved to be the most popular and is now being launched nationally as Budweiser Black Crown, a golden amber lager with 6 percent ABV that is brewed with toasted caramel malt for a distinctively smooth, flavorful finish. Like Budweiser, Black Crown is created using their signature 1876 yeast and finished over beechwood chips.
